An original painting created using ink and tea.  This piece was started without a concept of direction allowing marks to unfold on the page - only the portrait structure was drawn first and the concept emerged through the process of allowing inks to run on the page.  As these were interpreted the concept was developed by the artist, a feeling of longing emerged and the idea of communication through writing began to take shape - the subject looks wistfully out from the page and notes and marks begin to take shape, a collection of experiences written down, a sense of unease of wanting to belong found it's way into the painting and the title 'A letter Home' was assigned giving the piece a more concrete meaning.   The artist allows the viewer to interpret the situation and although emotions and concepts are suggested it is left to the viewer to decide the ultimate meaning.
 
This painting is created using inks and tea on Bockingford watercolour paper 24 x 34cm and is finished with a hand torn edge.
 
The painting is available unframed and will be accompanied by a signed certificate of Authenticity, blind embossed and finished with gold foil.
 
This small original will be packed in a reinforced cardboard parcel to protect the piece through transit.
